I’ve finally realized that all the ‘soul searching’ I’ve been doing since graduation has been a joke. I’ve always known who I am and I know that I rock. It’s time for me to get back to focusing on the things that matter.
Got a rude awakening this morning which ended in being rushed out of the house like a cheap whore courtesy of Big Tony himself. The plan was to wake up at 11:30, shower, then pick up the girls. I had nowhere to go in town so I sat in my car in the driveway, took care of business, and made the Woman Decision to enjoy a nice breakfast by myself. Nice is relative though considering my only choice was a Whatburger connected to one of those monstrous gas stations filled with tacky Texas souvenirs. Strangley enough, I don’t know where else I’d rather be. :) It pays to stay positive.
Last Friday about this time, my main SheBro and I left for San Antonio to enjoy a delicious and well-deserved vacay. It was super gnarly! Between the great food, awesome company, and partying almost every night and pulling an ugly Rager, we saw 50/50 and raided Buffalo Exchange. If 50/50 doesn’t win best picture this year, I don’t know what I’ll do with myself. It doesn’t even have anything to do with the fact that Seth Rogen was even sexier than usual! It was a really well-made film that took on a heavy subject in a way that wasn’t too depressing or irreverent. I’m hoping to see it again before it leaves theatres. And about Buffalo Exchange…OH MY GAWWWDDDDDD!!!! I found so much gnarly clothing that my head started spinning. My favorite finds are my PartyPants (black sequin leggings), silver metallic high tops, and a Night of the Living Dead shirt that I cut a bit of the back out of and sewed lace into. DIY FTW! I’ve been really wanting to start doing a lot of DIY to amp up my wardrobe for Fall.
The past two days I have been sick and super upset, but I’m not letting that get in the way of what could be the sickest night ever. If all goes as planned, my Punk Show v-card will be traded in for a deliciously dirty punk man if my EBTBro will let us in on some afterparty action. ;D Bahaha! If nothing else, it will be a night of throwing down to some gnarly tracks and dancing with my girls.
“I’m not fascinated by people who smile all the time. What I find interesting is the way people look when they are lost in thought, when their face becomes angry or serious, when they bite their lip, the way they glance, the way they look down when they walk, when they are alone and smoking a cigarette, when they smirk, the way they half smile, the way they try and hold back tears, the way when their face says they want to say something but can’t, the way they look at someone they want or love… I love the way people look when they do these things. It’s… beautiful.”—Unknown (via slekes)
